A stretch of rain is sweeping through parts of Northern Nevada, bringing showers to areas around Ely. Northern California near Redding is also experiencing rain showers. The skies remain clear over busy hubs like San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. In the mountain areas near Cedar City, snow is likely enhancing the winter feel. Farther south, Phoenix and Las Vegas are basking under clear skies with no precipitation in sight.
In Los Angeles this afternoon, temperatures will reach 84 degrees with mostly sunny skies. A gentle breeze from the south will accompany these pleasant conditions, maintaining a calm weather pattern. By 8 PM, temperatures will slightly decrease to 81 degrees, keeping the evening comfortable.
In Phoenix, expect a sizzling 104 degrees, while Las Vegas warms up to 99. Further west in Los Angeles, we’re looking at a high of 85, with San Diego not far behind at 84 degrees. Bakersfield will experience a warm day with a high hitting 95 degrees, and Fresno is also quite toasty at 90. Tonight, Ely drops to a brisk 33 degrees, making it one of the coldest spots in the region. Flagstaff can expect a low at 45 degrees, while Las Vegas stays milder at 65. Bakersfield will see a low of 54 degrees, and further south, Los Angeles will hover around 52. San Diego remains the warmest with a low of 57 degrees, but it’s still a few degrees cooler than recent nights.
Tomorrow, high temperatures in the Southwest will be notably above average. In Phoenix, we’re looking at a sizzling 101 degrees, making it one of the warmest spots in the region. Las Vegas follows closely with a high of 92, while Bakersfield reaches 79 degrees. Los Angeles will see highs around 68 degrees, slightly cooler as coastal breezes influence the temperature. Expect a dynamic weather pattern in the Southwest for tomorrow. A quick-moving cold front will bring showers to Southern California, particularly affecting the San Bernardino Valley with potential for heavy rain and slick roads. As the front advances eastward into Arizona and Nevada, isolated thunderstorms could develop, with a low risk of severe weather. Temperatures will trend cooler behind the front, offering some relief from the heat. Northern parts of New Mexico and southwest Colorado might experience a mix of rain and snow in the higher elevations, impacting mountain travel.
