Expect a warm and sunny afternoon in Los Angeles, with temperatures climbing to 80 degrees by 4 PM, reaching 81 degrees by 6 PM, and settling at 79 degrees by 8 PM. Winds will be gentle, coming from the south-southwest at around 7 to 8 miles per hour throughout the afternoon. Despite the warm temperatures, the calm and clear skies provide a perfect opportunity for outdoor activities this afternoon.
Today’s regional high temperatures in the Southwest are sizzling. In Phoenix, expect a scorching high of 114 degrees, while Las Vegas will reach 107. Fresno is also heating up with a high of 103 degrees. Bakersfield won’t be far behind at 104 degrees, and San Diego is a bit cooler at 80. The sharp contrast in temperatures highlights the intense heat wave affecting the region today.
Tonight, temperatures will drop significantly across the Southwest. Las Vegas is expected to see a low of 82 degrees, while Flagstaff will cooler at 55. In California, Los Angeles will drop to 60 degrees, with San Francisco hitting a brisk 54. Expect a mild night for San Diego at 62 degrees.
Tomorrow in Phoenix, temperatures soar to a scorching 117 degrees, significantly above average for this time of year. Las Vegas will experience a high of 110 degrees, staying hot but slightly below Phoenix’s extreme readings. In California’s Central Valley, Bakersfield is forecasted to hit 103 degrees, while Fresno is not far behind at 102. Meanwhile, coastal areas like San Diego will see a milder high of 79 degrees, providing a cooler respite from the inland heat. Significant high pressure is dominating the region, intensifying the heat wave across the Southwest.
In the Southwest, expect a calm and sunny day with temperatures gradually rising, perfect for outdoor activities. A slow-moving high-pressure system will keep the skies mostly clear, minimizing the chance of rain.
