A line of isolated rain showers extends from Reno northeastward towards Ely, making for wet start in those areas. Much of the California coastal region, including San Francisco and Los Angeles, remains dry and clear. Over in Cedar City, skies are also clear. The Rocky Mountain states such as Utah, are seeing cloudy conditions with some scattered light precipitation to the northeast. Phoenix and Las Vegas are currently enjoying dry, clear skies, while Flagstaff looks to have some cloud cover lingering.
This evening in Los Angeles, temperatures will start at 66 degrees at 9 PM, gradually cooling to 60 degrees by 1 AM. Expect partly cloudy skies throughout the evening, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Winds will be gentle, shifting from south at 7 mph to south-southwest at 5 mph, eventually calming to south at 4 mph.
Tonight in the Southwest, Flagstaff is forecast to dip down to a brisk 40 degrees, while Ely will see a low of 40 as well. Las Vegas will remain mild at 70 degrees, but Bakersfield will chill to 59. San Francisco will cool to 53 degrees, and Los Angeles is expected to fall to 55.
Tomorrow Las Vegas will reach a sizzling 95 degrees, while Phoenix is expected to soar to a scorching 98 degrees. In California, Bakersfield will hit 90 degrees, with Fresno not far behind at 88. Coastal areas like San Diego and Los Angeles will remain more temperate, with highs around 68 degrees.
For the Southwest tomorrow, anticipate mostly dry and sunny conditions, particularly across Arizona and southern Nevada. Temperatures will climb steadily, with highs reaching the upper 80s to low 90s. However, keep an eye on Northern California, where scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected, especially in the late afternoon and evening. Although severe weather risks are low, the likelihood of localized heavy downpours could make roads slick and lead to minor flooding in low-lying areas. By Wednesday, the region will enjoy mostly clear skies as the current system moves eastward.

Be sure to stay shaded, apply broad-spectrum sunscreen, and wear hats and sunglasses to shield from the sun’s rays.
