Clouds and some light precipitation are developing off the coast of North Carolina, just east of Charlotte, suggesting potential for rain later. Jacksonville to Tampa enjoys mostly sunny skies, with rain spotted in the Gulf of Mexico. This evening in Miami, temperatures will gradually cool from 79 degrees at 9 PM to 77 degrees by 1 AM. Expect a clear sky transitioning to mostly clear conditions late in the evening. Winds will be light, shifting from east-southeast at 6 miles per hour to south-southeast at 4 miles per hour. Enjoy a pleasant and tranquil evening in the Magic City. Tonight in the Southeast, temperatures will drop significantly, with Memphis cooling down to 74 degrees. Nashville will be slightly warmer at 74 as well, while Atlanta and Montgomery both forecast a low of 70 degrees. Expect even cooler conditions in Jacksonville with a low of 69 degrees, and Savannah dipping to 71. A mild night is anticipated for Tampa at 72 degrees, while Miami will remain warm at 75. High temperatures tomorrow across the Southeast are soaring above average. In Jacksonville, expect a sizzling high of 95 degrees, while Tampa will warm up to 92. Atlanta is forecasted to reach 87, with Montgomery close behind at 92 degrees. In the central part of the region, New Orleans and Jackson are both set to hit 89 degrees. The humidity is making these temperatures feel even warmer, so stay hydrated and plan for some shade! A cold front sweeps through the Southeast tomorrow, ushering in thunderstorms from New Orleans to Montgomery in the morning hours. Watch for heavy rainfall that could lead to localized flooding, especially during the Atlanta morning commute. Jacksonville to Savannah sees increasing showers and possible storms by afternoon. Temperatures across the region will drop slightly behind the front, providing a brief respite from the recent warmth. Coastal areas should remain vigilant for rough seas and gusty winds accompanying the frontal passage. The UV index in Miami is very high at 11 for both Thursday and Friday, making sun protection a must! Expect a burn time of just 11 minutes in direct sunlight, so be sure to wear sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses if you’re heading outdoors. Thursday: Mostly clear skies with a high of 85 degrees and a low of 75.
