A significant line of thunderstorms stretches from Houston to New Orleans, making its way northeastward. Heavy rain is impacting areas from Jackson to Montgomery, with additional precipitation moving into the Atlanta region. Cloud cover is advancing over Jacksonville, with some spots experiencing light to moderate rain. Charlotte is still dry but could expect increased cloud cover as the day progresses. Miami and Tampa enjoy clear skies, escaping the storm system affecting much of the Southeast.
For this evening in Miami, look for partly cloudy skies transitioning to mostly clear conditions as the night progresses. Temperatures hold steady around 78 degrees, dipping slightly to 77 degrees by 1 AM. An easterly wind will range from 7 to 8 miles per hour, offering a gentle coastal breeze.
The Southeast will experience cooler temperatures tonight, with the Tennessee River Valley feeling the chill. Expect a low of 59 degrees in Memphis and slightly warmer at 60 in Nashville. Jackson is forecasted to cool down to 64 degrees, while Montgomery will see a low of 65. Savannah will rest at 67 degrees, with Jacksonville dipping to 69. It’s a milder night for Tampa at 72 degrees, with Miami staying warm at 76.
Tomorrow, the Southeast is set for unseasonably warm temperatures. Atlanta will reach a high of 82 degrees, while Montgomery is forecasted to hit 86.
