A significant band of severe storms is affecting the Louisiana coast, particularly around New Orleans, pushing eastward towards the Gulf. Light rain extends from Houston through Shreveport and into Jackson, where scattered showers are prominent. The Eastern states, including Atlanta and Charlotte, remain under clear skies, but increased cloud cover is anticipated as the system advances. A mix of rain and thunderstorm activity is noted off the coast of Jacksonville, moving towards the Atlantic.
In Miami this evening, temperatures will hover in the low 80s, starting at 83 degrees at 9 PM and slightly increasing to 84 degrees by 11 PM. Expect partly cloudy skies throughout the night with an east-southeast wind holding steady at around 9 miles per hour.
