The Southeast region is currently seeing scattered storms moving from Houston to New Orleans, with significant activity near New Orleans itself. Rain showers extend across Alabama, while areas like Montgomery witness increasing cloud cover ahead of the rain. Across northern Florida, light rain showers are present, particularly around Jacksonville. Savannah and Charleston enjoy clearer skies for the moment, but clouds are on the horizon as rain approaches. Areas further inland, such as Memphis and Jackson, remain calm and dry.
Tomorrow morning in Miami, the day starts mostly sunny with temperatures around 80 degrees at 8 AM and a west-northwest wind at 4 miles per hour. By 10 AM, expect a partly cloudy sky as temperatures rise to 85 degrees, with winds shifting to the northwest. Heading towards noon, temperatures climb to 88 degrees under partly cloudy conditions, with a northeast breeze of 4 miles per hour.
High temperatures in the Southeast will soar tomorrow, with many areas experiencing above-average readings. Atlanta is looking at a high of 84 degrees, while Jacksonville and Miami both reach 92 degrees. New Orleans will see a comfortable 83 degrees, and Jackson is expected to hit 89 degrees. Montgomery will also report a high of 90 degrees.
The futurecast indicates a potent weather pattern unfolding across the Southeast. A cold front will push eastward, reaching Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia on Wednesday morning. Look out for thunderstorms from Jackson to Montgomery, with a potential for heavy rainfall and localized flooding. As the front progresses, expect stormy conditions from Atlanta to Savannah by Wednesday afternoon. Temperatures will drop after the front passes, bringing cooler, dry air into the region for Thursday.
The UV index in Miami will be extreme today and tomorrow with a level of 11, indicating a very high risk of harm from unprotected sun exposure. The burn time in direct sunlight is just 11 minutes, so it’s crucial to apply sunscreen, wear a hat, and seek shade when possible.
