The Southeast region is experiencing varied weather conditions. Showers are prominent over areas like New Orleans and moving toward Jackson, where rain is making its way through the city. In contrast, Savannah is under clear skies, providing a dry day for residents. Miami and Tampa continue enjoying mostly sunny conditions, escaping the current wave of precipitation. However, cloud cover is increasing as the rain moves into western Georgia, possibly affecting Atlanta later. Additionally, Montgomery can expect some rain showers as the system progresses northeast.
For tomorrow morning in Miami, expect a sunny start with temperatures climbing from 61 degrees at 7 AM to 75 degrees by 11 AM. Winds begin from the north-northwest at 3 miles per hour and will shift to the east-northeast at 5 miles per hour by mid-morning, eventually reaching east-northeast at 7 miles per hour. Enjoy the pleasant conditions as you kick off your day.
For the high temperatures in the Southeast tomorrow, conditions are looking warm and above average. Atlanta is expecting a high of 79 degrees, while Jacksonville will reach around 81 degrees. Montgomery is set to experience a notably warm high of 84 degrees. New Orleans will see impressive warmth as well, topping out at 80 degrees. In contrast, Memphis will be slightly cooler with a high of 77 degrees, but still well within seasonal norms. The warmer temperatures are due to a high-pressure system settling in, bringing clear skies and light winds across the region. Overall, this weather pattern bodes well for outdoor activities, making it a great day to enjoy the mild spring weather.
“Expect a warm and humid day across the Southeast with scattered thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. Heavy downpours, strong winds, and lightning are possible, especially from Atlanta to Jacksonville. A cold front will push through the region overnight, bringing a line of strong storms from Montgomery to Savannah by Wednesday morning. Rainfall could lead to localized flooding in low-lying areas, so stay weather aware. Temperatures will drop slightly in the wake of the front, with cooler and drier conditions prevailing by Thursday.”
Miami is in for a sunny stretch! On Tuesday, the UV index will be very high at 9, with a burn time of just 15 minutes. By Wednesday, it spikes to 10, with an even faster burn time of 12 minutes. Be sure to apply sunscreen frequently, wear hats and sunglasses, and seek shade during peak hours to protect your skin from harmful UV exposure.
