Across the Southeast, the regional radar indicates an active weather pattern. Severe weather is expected. Check in the the Storm Prediction Center for the latest details on the storms. A line of storms is traversing from the west to the east, with severe weather currently affecting areas from Shreveport towards New Orleans. Heavy rain is noticeably impacting regions like Jackson, moving northeast toward Montgomery and into Atlanta. Spots farther north across the Tennessee River Valley, such as Memphis, expect strong thunderstorms as conditions develop. Additionally, the eastern parts of the region, including Jacksonville and parts of Savannah, are experiencing scattered showers. However, coastal areas like Miami and Tampa are enjoying more mild conditions with clearer skies for now.
“For this evening in Miami, anticipate mostly cloudy skies with a steady southeast wind at 7 miles per hour. Temperatures will hold around 76 degrees at 8 PM and 10 PM, dipping gently to 75 degrees by midnight. Winds shift slightly to the south-southeast at 6 miles per hour, maintaining a pleasant evening vibe despite the cloud cover.”
Looking at the low temperatures for tonight, the Southeast is gearing up for some cooler air. Memphis will experience a chilly night with a low of 43 degrees. Nashville is expected to dip to 40 degrees, while Shreveport will see a low of 55. In Jackson, temperatures will drop to 53. Montgomery’s low will be around 54 degrees. Atlanta can expect a cooler 47 degrees tonight. Moving south, Savannah will have a low of 61, while Jacksonville is looking at 65 degrees. Tampa and Miami remain on the mild side, with lows of 70 and 72 degrees, respectively.
Tomorrow, high temperatures in the Southeast will generally hover above average, boosted by a warm air mass moving into the region. Atlanta is set to reach 74 degrees, while Savannah will see a high of 80. Over in Jacksonville, expect a warm 84 degrees. Birmingham and Montgomery will have highs around 72 degrees. Down in New Orleans, temperatures will peak at 80 degrees and extend to 84 in Houston. Miami continues to feel the heat with a high reaching 82. v
“Expect an active weather day in the Southeast tomorrow. A cold front pushes from Texas and Louisiana into Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. Strong thunderstorms may develop, especially over areas from Jackson to Montgomery. Storm Prediction Center has parts of the Southeast on alert for potential severe weather, including damaging winds and heavy rainfall. By tomorrow afternoon, thunderstorms line up from New Orleans across to Jacksonville, stretching up to Charlotte. As the front advances farther east, check weather updates closely.”
“The UV index in Miami will be extremely high on Sunday with a value of 8, where burn time is around 17 minutes. On Monday, be prepared for an even higher UV level of 11, with potential sunburn occurring in just 11 minutes.”

Saturday: Expect another beautifully clear day, with highs reaching 82 degrees and a comfortable low of 73 degrees.
