A robust line of storms is sweeping through the Southeast, with severe weather rolling through Florida, affecting cities like Tampa and Jacksonville. These storms are advancing towards Savannah and moving closely along the Georgia and South Carolina coastline. Areas from Charlotte to Atlanta are under increasing cloud cover as bands of moderate rain move in. Meanwhile, farther west, rainfall is tapering off in areas such as Jackson and Memphis, providing a brief respite. However, light showers persist around Montgomery, hinting at further unsettled weather to come.
For tomorrow morning in Miami, temperatures start at 68 degrees at 7 a.m., increasing to 73 degrees by 11 a.m. Expect showers early, transitioning to mostly cloudy skies with a northwest wind at 15 miles per hour. By mid-morning, a partial clearing with a slightly stronger northwest breeze at 17 miles per hour. A watchful start for your Monday morning routine!
High temperatures for tomorrow in the Southeast are shaping up to be quite warm. Houston leads the way with a high of 81 degrees, while Shreveport is close behind at 80 degrees. New Orleans will see a comfortable 72 degrees, and Jackson is expected to reach 70 degrees. Atlanta will experience slightly cooler conditions with a high of 67 degrees, and Montgomery is forecasted for a similar 67. Nashville and Memphis are on the lower end at 61 and 68 degrees, respectively. Notably, these temperatures are above average for this time of year, influenced by a high-pressure system bringing warmer air across the region. The warm, humid conditions may set the stage for scattered showers in some areas later in the week.
“A cold front is sweeping through the Southeast tomorrow, bringing with it an uptick in storm activity. From Dallas to Shreveport, scattered thunderstorms are expected, potentially accompanied by brief heavy downpours. Houston will see rain showers amidst a broader pattern of unstable weather across the region. New Orleans should brace for possible thunderstorms. In Memphis and Jackson, watch for showers Tuesday morning, with winds picking up as the front moves eastward. As the front continues, humidity levels are set to decrease with cooler temperatures setting in through mid-week. Stay alert for any updates on severe weather warnings, particularly in coastal areas from Miami to Savannah due to possible strong storm systems.”
The UV index in Miami is at a high level of 9 for both Sunday and Monday, with a burn time of just 15 minutes in direct sunlight. Be sure to use sunscreen and wear protective clothing to safeguard against sun exposure. Stay alert for potential storm activity on Monday, which could slightly reduce UV exposure.
