The Southeast region is seeing scattered rain showers, especially along the Gulf Coast. Rain is moving into areas around Jacksonville and Miami, with heavier downpours noted. Showers extend into central Florida, impacting areas like Tampa. Farther north, cloud cover increases as showers approach the Carolinas and Georgia. Memphis and Atlanta remain dry for now, but conditions suggest increasing cloudiness in these areas.
Evening hours in Miami will see temperatures holding steady at 78 degrees through 11 PM, slightly dipping to 77 degrees by 1 AM. Winds will be coming from the south-southeast at 7 mph initially, decreasing to 5 mph later in the evening. Expect mostly cloudy skies throughout the night.
The Southeast is in for a cooler night as low temperatures drop significantly across the region. Expect 47 degrees in Nashville, with Memphis dipping to 53. Atlanta will see a low of 50, while Montgomery cools off to 53. Jackson is forecasted to be at 58, making for a relatively mild night. Coastal areas like Jacksonville and Savannah will experience lows of 63 and 61 degrees, respectively.
Tomorrow, the Southeast is set to experience above-average temperatures as warm air dominates the region. Atlanta will see a high of 71 degrees, while Montgomery and Jackson each reach 79 degrees. New Orleans is expected to hit 81 degrees with similar warmth in Shreveport at 81 degrees as well. Coastal areas will feel the heat more intensely, with Jacksonville and Tampa both soaring to a steamy 88 degrees. Savannah is not far behind, reaching a warm 84 degrees, making for a summer-like feel across much of the region.
A cold front is making its way into the Southeast, bringing with it scattered thunderstorms from New Orleans up to Montgomery by tomorrow afternoon. Rainfall could be heavy at times, posing a risk of localized flooding, especially in low-lying areas. In terms of temperature, expect highs to remain warm in the mid to upper 70s before the front moves through, leading to cooler and drier conditions by late Wednesday. Keep an eye out for potential severe weather alerts, particularly for strong winds and localized hail. Heading farther east, places like Jacksonville and Savannah might see showers lingering into the evening before clearing out overnight.
