The city basks in warmth with temperatures poised at comfortable highs, but don’t be fooled; change is lurking around the corner. As a cold front sneaks into the Southeast, we’re looking at potential thunderstorms and a noticeable temperature dip. The Southeast region is enjoying relatively mild weather today, but a change is on the horizon. Over the Atlantic, rain showers are starting to make their way toward the coast, specifically targeting cities like Savannah and Charleston. In Georgia, clouds are thickening as these rain systems approach. In Mississippi, heavy rain is persisting over Jackson and it’s moving eastward, setting its sights on Atlanta. Farther south, around Jacksonville, the skies are clearer as showers shift out, providing a brief reprieve from the rain. The Gulf Coast, from Houston through New Orleans, remains calm at this time. Memphis and Charlotte are in the clear as well from this weather action.
For this evening in Miami, expect a clear and pleasant pattern with temperatures gradually cooling. At 9 PM, the temperature will be 73 degrees with a northwest wind at 7 miles per hour. By 11 PM, the temperature will decrease slightly to 70 degrees, with winds picking up to 8 miles per hour from the northwest. As you move into the early hours, 1 AM will see a further drop to 68 degrees, with a consistent northwest breeze at 7 miles per hour.
For tonight, the Southeast is bracing for a notable drop in temperatures. Expect a chilly 30 degrees in Atlanta, with Montgomery cooling down to 31. Nashville will see lows around 32, while Memphis is set to hit 35. Moving south, Jacksonville and Savannah will experience milder temperatures at 55 degrees each. New Orleans will stay a bit warmer at 61, while Tampa will also hold steady at 57. This cooling trend indicates a shift, bringing much colder air across the region.
For tomorrow’s high temperatures in the Southeast, we’re expecting quite a range. Shreveport will see a warm high of 90 degrees, while Houston is not far behind at 88. In Jackson, temperatures will reach a pleasant 84 degrees, and New Orleans is set for a comfortable 81 degrees. In the upper portion of the region, Memphis should hit 82 degrees and Nashville is right there at 77. Atlanta will experience a high of 73, with Savannah not far behind at 73 as well. Jacksonville is forecasting to reach a warm 79 degrees, while Tampa and Miami will hover around 81 degrees.
A cold front moves into the Southeast tonight, bringing a shift in weather patterns. Expect thunderstorms with heavy rain from New Orleans to Jacksonville, triggering alerts. By early Sunday, the front approaches Montgomery and Atlanta, continuing northeast to Charlotte by afternoon. Be prepared for rainfall and potential wind damage. A temporary respite arrives on Monday as drier air follows, offering clearer skies and slightly cooler temperatures in the region. Stay aware of any severe weather warnings due to the active conditions.

Thursday: Another mostly clear day with a high of 80 degrees and a low of 71 degrees. Friday: A little cooler but still clear, with highs of 79 degrees and lows of 72 degrees.
