The Southwest is seeing varied weather conditions. Rain is primarily concentrated around the areas north of San Francisco, with Redding getting a fair share of precipitation. Ely is also experiencing light rainfall, while Salt Lake City observes a mix of rain and possible snow showers. Areas such as Las Vegas and Phoenix remain dry under clear skies. Flagstaff and San Diego are enjoying clear conditions.
For this evening in Los Angeles, temperatures will gradually decline from 64 degrees at 9 PM to 58 degrees by 1 AM. Winds are gentle, coming from the south at 6 mph earlier in the evening then easing to 3 mph from the south-southeast as the night progresses. Cloud cover will persist throughout, keeping the sky overcast. Expect a calm and cloudy evening.
Tonight in the Southwest, Las Vegas will drop to 64 degrees, while Phoenix is even more mild at 67. Flagstaff dips with a low around 39 degrees, and Ely could drop to a brisk 32. San Francisco and Fresno will settle at 51 degrees, and Bakersfield will cool down to 54.
Tomorrow in the Southwest, Phoenix will reach a sweltering 94 degrees, while Las Vegas is expected to hit 86. In Southern California, Bakersfield will enjoy a high of 81 degrees, with Los Angeles slightly cooler at 64. Fresno warms up to 77 degrees, and San Diego will have a pleasant day at 63.
A low-pressure system is moving into the Southwest, bringing cooler temperatures and scattered rain showers predominantly to the coastal areas of Southern California. Areas such as San Diego and Los Angeles may experience brief downpours and gusty winds, making road conditions slick, especially through the evening commute. Meanwhile, the desert regions such as Phoenix will remain mostly dry and warm, with temperatures holding steady in the mid-80s. Despite the coastal showers, no severe weather is expected, with conditions improving late Wednesday as drier air begins to settle in.
