The Regional Radar reveals quite a dynamic weather picture across the Southwest. In Northern Nevada, including Ely, we see snow, indicating chilling conditions in the higher elevations. Farther east in Cedar City, a mix of rain and snow creates tricky travel conditions. For those traveling through this area, caution is advised.
Meanwhile, eastern Arizona also has some snowfall around Flagstaff, with chilly air settling in as snowflakes drift down. This could make for a picturesque but cold day. Moving to the West, the San Francisco Bay Area down to Fresno is basking in clear skies, while Los Angeles all the way to San Diego enjoys mild weather with no precipitation in sight.
Residents of Salt Lake City should remain alert for advancing weather systems from the east, but for now, it’s clear and calm. Across the board from Reno to Redding, conditions remain dry, offering a break from any severe weather.
Phoenix enjoys a warm afternoon with temperatures rising to 75 degrees at 4 p.m., increasing slightly to 77 degrees by 6 p.m. Winds are currently light, coming from the west at 6 miles per hour, transitioning to west-northwest at around 7 miles per hour as we progress into the evening.
