This November, NYC experiences a mixed bag of weather conditions from partly cloudy skies to scattered showers across the region. The Northeast region is experiencing areas of precipitation primarily in upstate New York and farther into New England. Rain showers are spreading over Syracuse and Albany, while Boston is also seeing some light rain. Buffalo and the surrounding areas are dealing with steady rain. Philadelphia and New York City are dry but expect increasing cloud cover. To the north, Portland is currently under a blanket of moisture with ongoing rain showers.
For this evening in New York City, expect partly cloudy skies with a northwesterly breeze. Temperatures will start at 59 degrees by 9 PM, gradually decreasing to 56 degrees by 1 AM. Winds will shift slightly from NW at 5 MPH to WNW at 4 MPH as the night progresses.
Tonight Albany will cool to 49 degrees, while Syracuse edges down to 48. Expect a low of 47 in Buffalo and 46 in both Scranton and Portland. Boston will also register a chilly 49 degrees, and Philadelphia will settle at a mild 54. Washington, D.C. will round out the night at 56 degrees.
Tomorrow New York City will warm up to 70 degrees, while Philadelphia pushes up to 71 degrees. Scranton and Pittsburgh are expected to see highs of 64 and 68 degrees, respectively. Buffalo and Portland are cooler, with highs of 59 degrees.
A mild storm system will affect the Northeast with scattered rain showers arriving in the early morning, mainly impacting areas around Syracuse and Albany. The coastal areas, including Boston and Portland, might see light rain showers through the afternoon. Temperatures will remain cool, providing relief from the recent warmth, with highs in the 60s. No severe weather is expected, but keep an umbrella handy to manage the off-and-on showers throughout the day. By evening, skies will begin clearing from the west, setting up for a drier day ahead.
