The Northeast region is experiencing a mix of weather conditions today. Places like Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., are enjoying clear skies with no significant weather disturbances, making it a great day to be outdoors. Up in the northern reaches, parts of Maine, including the area around Portland, are under snow cover, so expect wintry conditions there. Albany and Syracuse are currently seeing some light rain, causing wet roads and reduced visibility. Farther west, Buffalo experiences a break from precipitation, offering a brief dry spell. Meanwhile, Scranton and New York are also under partly cloudy skies, without any immediate threat of rain.
For this evening in New York City, expect temperatures to dip from 50 degrees at 8 PM to 46 degrees by midnight. Winds will shift from west-northwest at 3 MPH to calm as the night progresses. Conditions will transition from partly cloudy to fully cloudy by midnight, setting a tranquil scene for the night.
Now for the low temperatures in the Northeast tonight. Buffalo is set to dip down to a chilly 24 degrees, while Syracuse will see a low of 28. Scranton is expecting a bottom-out temperature of 28 degrees as well. In Philadelphia, the low will reach 33 degrees, with New York City staying slightly warmer at 34. New York: Expect a high of 51 degrees. Philadelphia is bit warmer at 52 degrees. Boston will reach for 48 degrees, slightly below what we would usually anticipate. Albany is forecasted to hit 45 degrees. Pittsburgh expects 46 degrees. Syracuse is looking for a cool 40 degrees. In Buffalo the forecast high only reaches 36 degrees.
