A cluster of light rain showers is moving through northern Pennsylvania towards Scranton and extending into parts of western New York near Buffalo and Syracuse. Meanwhile, cloud cover is stretching across New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., indicating a chance of scattered showers later in the day. The rest of the Northeast region, including Albany and Boston, remains dry, and a heat wave is underway.
