Partly cloudy skies over NYC are just the beginning. With a dynamic weather pattern setting up, expect conditions ranging from snow in Buffalo to rain showers moving towards Scranton and NYC.

Tomorrow anticipates a mix of conditions, from cloudy skies in NYC to snow in northern regions and potential rain spreading from Pittsburgh. Highs will vary with Philadelphia hitting 76 degrees, while Portland stays chilly. As a cold front moves through, prepare for a significant shift in weather, ideal for those keeping an active eye on daily changes.
A dynamic weather pattern is setting up across the Northeast. On the Regional Radar, snow is sweeping into areas around Buffalo, extending eastward into Syracuse, delivering a wintry touch. Farther south, rain showers are predominant, particularly over Pittsburgh, where moderate rain is moving eastward. This moisture is heading towards Scranton and the New York metropolitan area, bringing wet conditions.
The Eastern Seaboard, including cities like Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and New York, is currently under cloud cover but remains dry for the moment. Farther north, Boston and Portland are also experiencing cloud cover, but precipitation is expected to remain a bit to the west. As the systems track through, areas along the Great Lakes will see intensified snowfall, while the rest of the region must prepare for potential rain showers moving in from the west.
For tomorrow morning in New York City, expect a damp start with showers on the radar. Temperatures will rise from 51 degrees at 7 AM to a more mild 61 degrees by 11 AM. Winds will shift from a southerly direction at 7 MPH early on to a slight increase as they approach 8 MPH from the south-southwest closer to late morning.
Tomorrow’s high temperatures in the Northeast are expected to deliver a mix of above-average warmth, especially in southern areas.
Philadelphia leads the charge with a high of 76 degrees, while Pittsburgh reaches a pleasant 71 degrees. Scranton will also see a high of 71 degrees.
Both Albany and New York City are forecasted to hit 68 and 71 degrees, respectively. Upstate, Syracuse is expected to enjoy a high of 70 degrees, reflecting a mild trend across the region.
Farther north, Buffalo will experience a cooler day at 60 degrees, while Boston is on the lower end with a high of 62 degrees. In contrast, Portland will be much chillier, only reaching 47 degrees.
A cold front is set to move through the Northeast tomorrow, bringing a mix of weather conditions. Expect a significant shift with rain spreading from Pittsburgh to New York City and Buffalo. Scranton, Syracuse, and Albany may encounter freezing rain and ice with the chance of a wintery mix in the higher elevations.
