Most of the region, including cities like New York and Boston, enjoys clearer skies, with no active weather systems. A thin band of rain is just beginning to develop near Pittsburgh, inching its way toward Scranton. The majority of the Northeast remains dry and calm under a predominantly clear sky.
New York City this afternoon brings a partly cloudy sky, with temperatures starting at 72 degrees around 3 PM. Winds will be mild from the west at 3 miles per hour. By 5 PM, temperatures dip slightly to 69 degrees, with southwesterly winds maintaining calm conditions. Expect clear skies by 7 PM.

Boston will be cooler at 66 degrees, and Portland expects a chilly 55.
A wet and stormy day is ahead for the Northeast tomorrow, with a cold front pushing through the region. Expect showers and scattered thunderstorms from Boston to New York City, with the potential for heavy rainfall and gusty winds. As the front passes, temperatures will dip slightly, bringing cooler conditions by evening. Keep an eye out for localized flooding in areas with poor drainage, especially around Albany and Scranton. Friday sees clearing skies, but the cooler trend will persist into the weekend.
