For everything from snow in the north to rain in the city, stay informed with us.
In the Northeast region, clouds are thickening over New York City with scattered showers expected later on. Philadelphia remains dry for now, but showers are approaching from the west. Washington is seeing a mix of overcast skies and clearer patches, keeping the weather relatively mild. The radar shows widespread rain sweeping through western New York, with heavy showers focusing around Buffalo. This band of rain extends down toward Pittsburgh, prompting umbrellas to be a necessity. As the system moves eastward, Syracuse is also experiencing consistent rainfall. Albany and Boston are currently in the clear, but cloud cover is increasing, signaling that rain could be on its way. Farther north, a mix of precipitation is noted in Maine, with ice and snow causing wintry travel conditions around Portland. Farther inland, scattered showers are tapering, offering some relief.
In New York City tomorrow morning, start your day with cloudy skies and temperatures climbing from 57 degrees at 7 a.m. to 64 degrees by 11 a.m. Winds will be out of the south, ranging from 8 to 9 miles per hour, contributing to the mild morning feel.
High temperatures for the Northeast tomorrow are showing some warmer trends, particularly as we move into April. In New York City, look for a high of 68 degrees. Philadelphia will experience a bit more warmth with a high reaching 76 degrees. Scranton, PA is expected to match that with similar temperatures hitting 70. Pittsburgh will see highs around 63 degrees, while Buffalo is a bit cooler at 56 degrees. Much of the region is seeing temperatures above average for this time of year, influenced by a warm air mass moving in from the south. Boston will see a pleasant high of 64 degrees, and Albany, NY is set to reach 68 degrees. Meanwhile, Burlington, VT will remain cooler at 62 degrees.
“A frontal system is moving across the Northeast. Expect rain showers to intensify, especially in southern New York to Boston, bringing about half an inch of rain. In higher elevations of northern New York and Vermont, snow and sleet might mix in the evening, leading to slick travel conditions. Temperatures will remain in the 40s, dropping into the 30s in the evening, particularly in Buffalo and Syracuse. Winds could gust up to 25 mph as the front passes. By tomorrow night, skies clear, transitioning into a brisk, cool day with scattered clouds on Tuesday.”
The UV index in New York City is low at 3 for both today and tomorrow. While sun protection isn’t a major concern, keep an eye on the sky as storm systems can block harmful rays, reducing UV exposure significantly.

Tuesday: Rain and possible thunderstorms with a cooler high of 54 degrees, dipping to 36 at night. Wednesday: Partly cloudy skies, reaching a high of 47 degrees and a low of 42.
