Cloud cover is minimal, allowing for sunny conditions across much of the region, including Syracuse and Portland.
In New York City this afternoon, expect sunny skies with temperatures around 83 degrees at 4 p.m., dipping slightly to 82 degrees by 6 p.m., and 79 degrees at 8 p.m. Winds will persist from the west at 8 miles per hour earlier, decreasing to 5 miles per hour by the evening.
Today’s high temperatures in the Northeast are shaping up nicely. Philadelphia hits 84 today, maintaining a similar warmth across the region. Farther north, Boston reaches a comfortable 82 degrees, while Syracuse is slightly cooler at 79. Buffalo, in contrast, remains the chilliest in the region with a high of 72 degrees.
Tonight, temperatures across the Northeast will be on the cooler side with Burlington dipping to 53 degrees. Albany is expected to settle at 55, while Buffalo will see a low of 55 as well. Scranton will cool down to 57 degrees, and Philadelphia will stay relatively mild at 69. New York City rounds out the forecast with a comfortable low of 68 degrees.
Tomorrow in the Northeast, expect soaring temperatures, with Washington, D.C. hitting 93 degrees and Philadelphia not far behind at 92. New York City will reach a hot 91 degrees, while Boston will see a high of 85 degrees. Scranton can anticipate a warm afternoon at 83 degrees, and Syracuse will settle at 73. These temperatures are significantly above average for this time of year, influenced by a high-pressure system bringing summer-like warmth to the region.
A high-pressure system dominates the Northeast, bringing mostly clear skies with daytime highs in the mid-70s to low 80s on Wednesday. Overnight lows will dip into the 50s, offering a refreshing cool-down. Expect scattered showers primarily along the coast from Boston down to New York City by late afternoon, but rainfall will be light. No severe weather is expected, and the atmosphere remains stable.
