These locations are experiencing wintry conditions with pockets of heavier snow. Meanwhile, rain is soaking the coastal areas, with Boston seeing consistent rainfall as the system pushes in from the Atlantic. Philadelphia and New York are under a mix of light rain showers and cloud cover. As we look farther north, places like Albany are getting some scattered rain showers, while Portland remains on the fringes of the main precipitation band, yet cloud cover persists.
For this evening in New York City, expect clear skies dominating the horizon. Temperatures will dip from 43 degrees at 8 PM to 39 degrees by midnight. A light northwest wind at 6 miles per hour will accompany the evening, creating a crisp and cool atmosphere. If you’re stepping out, be sure to layer up for the chilly night air.
Tonight in the Northeast, we’re in for some chilly conditions as the cold air settles in. Buffalo will see a low of 31 degrees, while Syracuse’s overnight temperature drops to 33. Expect a slightly warmer night in Scranton, with a low of 36. New York City can anticipate a low of 42 degrees, and just a degree cooler in Philadelphia at 40. Boston will drop to 36 degrees, and Portland sees an overnight low of 32.
