Don’t let the weather catch you off guard; tune into our daily updates and stay prepared!
Currently, the Northeast regional radar is showing mostly clear conditions across major cities including Boston, New York, and Philadelphia. However, if we look at areas farther to the west, over Pittsburgh, we see a mix of rain beginning to develop. This system is moving steadily eastward, suggesting that areas like Scranton might see some precipitation later today. The clear skies are a treat for those in Albany and Portland right now, but the rain trajectory could bring changes toward the evening. Stay tuned for updates as this weather pattern continues to evolve across the region.
Tomorrow morning in New York City, expect rain with temperatures starting at 43 degrees at 7 AM, gradually rising to 47 degrees by 11 AM. Winds will be from the southeast at 11 miles per hour at 7 AM, decreasing slightly to 9 miles per hour by 9 AM and then coming from the south-southeast at 8 miles per hour at 11 AM.
For the Northeast tomorrow, we’re looking at high temperatures that remain below seasonal averages due to a lingering cold air mass. In New York City, the expected high is just 52 degrees. Philadelphia should reach up to 55 degrees, while Scranton will see temperatures hover around 53 degrees. Farther north, Syracuse anticipates a high of 55 degrees, and Buffalo is projected to barely hit 45 degrees. Boston will remain chilly at 43 degrees, with Portland, Maine, struggling even more at just 36 degrees.
“A dynamic weather pattern is unfolding over the Northeast with a low-pressure system ushering in widespread rain. Tomorrow morning, expect rain to spread from Philadelphia to New York, impacting commute times. As the day progresses, showers extend farther north into Albany and Boston. Temperatures remain cool, with daytime highs in the mid-40s. Be prepared for gusty winds, especially along coastal areas, which may affect travel plans. Snow is expected in higher elevations of the interior Northeast, with potential for accumulations in areas like Syracuse. Stay updated on any weather advisories as the system continues to move eastward.”
The UV index in NYC is moderate today at 5, suggesting a burn time of approximately 27 minutes under direct sunlight. However, tomorrow’s UV index drops significantly to 1.
