Buffalo and the surrounding areas are also experiencing rain. In contrast, cities along and south of the 95 corridor, such as New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C., are currently enjoying clearer skies, though cloud cover is beginning to increase. As we look towards the western parts, Scranton and Pittsburgh remain mostly dry with occasional light rain potential.
New York City this afternoon is experiencing temperatures around 80 degrees by 4 PM, with mostly cloudy skies. Winds are coming from the southwest at 7 miles per hour. By 6 PM, temperatures dip slightly to 79 degrees, transitioning to partly cloudy skies. Expect a gentle southwest breeze continuing into the evening with temperatures reaching 74 degrees by 8 PM.
Today’s high temperatures across the Northeast region are looking quite warm. New York City is set to reach a high of 82 degrees, while Philadelphia could soar to 86. Scranton is also enjoying warm weather, with a high of 80 degrees. Farther north, Albany will see temperatures hitting 81 degrees. In contrast, Boston will remain a bit cooler at 76 degrees, and Portland faces a chilly 56 degrees.
