Expect a splendid start in Phoenix tomorrow with clear skies and mild temperatures.
Meteorologist Amy Freeze reports from Phoenix with an update on tomorrow morning’s weather. Clear skies and mild temperatures promise a delightful start to your day, setting the stage for a pleasant commute and morning activities. As you step outside, you’ll be greeted with a gentle southwest breeze and a beautiful sunrise at 63°F at 7 AM, cooling slightly to 62°F by 9 AM, and rising to a comfortable 65°F by 11 AM under mostly cloudy skies. Enjoy the perfect weather, Phoenix!
Today over the Southwest region, a weather dynamic is unfolding as varied conditions sweep across the area. Starting along the Pacific coastline, moderate rain showers are providing much-needed precipitation, making their way inland over cities like San Francisco and down towards Fresno. This rain also extends further north, with heavier showers approaching the Redding area. As we move inland, the Sierra Nevada mountains are experiencing snow, particularly in regions surrounding Reno. Meanwhile, a snow and rain mix is affecting areas farther east, including Ely in Nevada, with potential light snow showers due to the cold temperatures. The radar indicates that Cedar City is receiving some mixed precipitation, with the chance of transitioning to snow as cooler air moves in. On the other hand, Las Vegas enjoys dry conditions, with clear skies providing a break from the unsettled weather. In Southern California, Los Angeles remains mostly dry with light drizzle possible, whereas San Diego experiences breezy conditions without significant precipitation. Over in the high desert area around Flagstaff, there could be sporadic light snow showers, maintaining the chill in the air. Farther north, Salt Lake City is dealing with some snow showers, adding a wintry touch to the area’s current weather patterns. These mixed conditions are typical for this time of year as systems transition across the mountainous terrain.
Tomorrow morning in Phoenix, temperatures start at 63 degrees at 7 AM, gently cooling to 62 degrees by 9 AM. Expect partly cloudy skies with a southwest breeze around 8 miles per hour. By 11 AM, temperatures rise slightly to 65 degrees under mostly cloudy skies, with winds shifting to west-southwest at 9 miles per hour.
For tomorrow, we can expect significantly warmer temperatures across the Southwest as higher pressure builds in the region. In the vibrant city of Phoenix, high temperatures will soar to around 74 degrees, marking above-average conditions for early April. Las Vegas is also enjoying a warm day with a high reaching 66 degrees, while Los Angeles will be slightly cooler at 66 as well. Further inland in Bakersfield, expect a high of 61 degrees. San Diego will see a mild day at 60 degrees, and Fresno will peak at 55 degrees. Up north, Redding will hit 58 degrees, while San Francisco stays cooler at 56 degrees. Overall, tomorrow’s pattern is characterized by rising temperatures as we transition into spring, setting the stage for a pleasant day in the Southwest.
Futurecast for the Southwest highlights a contrasting weather scenario. Across the desert regions, a clear and sunny pattern persists, bringing warm and dry conditions. However, don’t let your guard down along the coast! Starting Monday, expect Northern California to experience several rounds of valley rain, continuing into Tuesday. Southern California, particularly around the San Bernardino Valley, will also see another bout of showers with potential downpours. This could lead to tricky driving conditions and slick mountain passes, so plan travel accordingly.
The UV index in Phoenix is at a very high level of 8 both today and tomorrow. If you’re planning any outdoor activities, keep in mind that the sunburn risk is considerable, with a burn time of just 17 minutes. Don’t forget your sunscreen and hats, and try to seek shade during the peak sun hours!
Monday: Partly cloudy skies with a high of 75 degrees and a low of 53. Tuesday: Expect a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures dropping to a high of 65 degrees and a low of 50. Wednesday: Mostly clear conditions return, warming up slightly to a high of 70 degrees, with a low of 55. Thursday: Overcast skies will dominate, with temperatures reaching 74 degrees during the day and cooling down to 54 at night. Friday: Partly cloudy skies will prevail, with a high temperature climbing to 79 degrees and a low of 56. Saturday: Enjoy partly cloudy conditions and a warm high of 81 degrees, with the temperature dipping to 58 overnight. Sunday: Clear skies to wrap up the week, with a high of 85 degrees and a nighttime low of 61. Have a great week in Phoenix! Stay safe!
