In the Southwest region, the radar reveals a calm situation overall but not without some notable activity. Light snow is making its presence felt around Salt Lake City and the mountainous areas north of Ely. Meanwhile, rain showers are increasing in intensity just south of Reno. Clear skies dominate the major urban areas like Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Las Vegas, providing some reprieve from any precipitation. The rest of the region, including San Francisco and San Diego, remains under mostly clear conditions, offering ample sunshine.
In Phoenix this evening, skies will remain clear with temperatures starting at 100 degrees at 9 PM, dropping to 92 degrees by 1 AM. Expect light winds shifting from west at 7 miles per hour to north-northeast at 6 miles per hour.
Expect a chilly night in the Southwest as temperatures drop significantly. Flagstaff will see a low of just 44 degrees, while Las Vegas will cool down to 57. In Los Angeles, temperatures will fall to 59 degrees. Bakersfield will rest at 67 degrees, and San Diego will stay mild at 61.
High temperatures in the Southwest tomorrow are expected to be well above average. Phoenix will soar to a scorching 103 degrees, while Las Vegas will also be hot at 99 degrees.
