The Southwest region is experiencing clear conditions dominated across much of the area, with notable clouds around the corners. A few rain showers are developing near Salt Lake City, while Ely is enjoying some dry weather. Las Vegas, too, is seeing a much-needed break from the rain. In California, there’s a hint of precipitation approaching Redding, while southwards, Los Angeles remains largely dry.
Temperatures tomorrow morning in Salt Lake City begin at 54 degrees with mostly clear skies and an east-southeast breeze around 8 miles per hour. By 10 AM, anticipate sunny conditions with temperatures rising to 60 degrees and a light east-southeast wind at 7 miles per hour. By noon, sunny skies continue as temperatures climb to 69 degrees with a south-southeast wind at 6 miles per hour.
Tomorrow Phoenix will sizzle at 106 degrees, while Las Vegas heats up to 101 degrees. Bakersfield follows closely with a high of 94 degrees, and Fresno will reach 93 degrees. San Diego will enjoy a relatively cooler day at 77 degrees, while Los Angeles sees a high of 81 degrees.
A strong low-pressure system advances over the Southwest, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms through Southern California by mid-afternoon. These storms could intensify, with potential for gusty winds and localized flooding, especially around the San Bernardino Valley. As the system moves eastward, expect rain to reach Arizona by the evening, accompanied by cooler temperatures. Watch for any severe weather alerts as conditions develop rapidly. Behind the system, drier and more stable weather poised to return by late Wednesday.
