In the Southwest region, the radar is lighting up with activity across various locations. Starting in Northern California, Redding is experiencing light rain showers. Cedar City is basking in mostly clear skies, allowing for a calm night.
In contrast, southern parts like Las Vegas remain dry, though clouds are noticeable in the area. Heading down toward the coast, Los Angeles is seeing a light drizzle, contributing to a more cool evening atmosphere. Fresno and Bakersfield also report some cloudy conditions, with no significant precipitation expected.
San Francisco enjoys mostly clear skies after a day of shifting weather. And farther south, San Diego experiences a mild night, maintaining dry conditions, perfect for evening outdoor plans. In the elevated regions, Flagstaff is hovering on the colder side, but the chance of snow is moderate, while Phoenix stays dry amid mild temperatures.
“Tomorrow morning in Salt Lake City, temperatures start at 50 degrees at 7 AM, dipping slightly to 49 degrees by 9 AM with an east wind at 4 miles per hour. The sky will be partly cloudy, transitioning to a cloudy cover by 11 AM while temperatures rise to 52 degrees with a west-southwest breeze at 5 miles per hour.”
High temperatures for the Southwest region on March 28, 2025, are shaping up to be quite warm. In Phoenix, expect a sizzling high of 84 degrees, which is significantly above the average for this time of year. Las Vegas will be warm as well, reaching 75 degrees, which is right on track for seasonal averages. Moving up to California, Bakersfield will see a high of 75 degrees, while Fresno warms up to a comfortable 70 degrees.
In more coastal areas, Los Angeles will experience a cooler day with a high of 63 degrees, still mild for the region. Further north, San Francisco will be slightly cooler at 59 degrees.
“In the Southwest, prepare for a mixed weather day. As a cold front pushes through, Northern California will see impressive rounds of heavy valley rain and mountain snow showers starting tonight into Friday. Be cautious of potential road closures and tricky driving conditions, especially over higher elevations. Southern California, including the San Bernardino Valley, can expect scattered rain showers, which may lead to localized flooding in low-lying areas. Stay weather aware as the front progresses, bringing cooler temperatures and clearing skies heading into the weekend.”
The UV index in Salt Lake City today will be moderate at 5, with a burn time of about 27 minutes under direct sunlight. Tomorrow, cloud cover will reduce the UV index to a low of 3, which should not pose a significant risk for sun exposure.

Thursday: Cloudy with a high of 59 degrees and a low of 42.
Friday: Clouds break early, clearing later with a high of 45 degrees, dipping to 35 at night.
Saturday: Showers early and then partly sunny, reaching a high of 55 degrees and a low of 42.
Sunday: Partly cloudy and breezy, bringing a high of 57 degrees and a nighttime low of 38.
Monday: Light rain expected with temperatures hitting a high of 45 degrees, cooling down to 31 at night.
Tuesday: Rain mixes with snow showers by late afternoon, with a high of 48 degrees and a low around 35.
Wednesday: Rain and snow showers throughout the day, reaching a high of 49 degrees and a low of 38.
