A dynamic line of severe storms is stretching across the Southeast, moving from the western side of Louisiana into Mississippi. Shreveport is being hit with intense storms, and this line is trailing eastward toward Jackson, Mississippi. As this system barrels through the South, spots farther northeast like Memphis should prepare for incoming storms later in the day. Areas such as New Orleans are experiencing some light to moderate rain, creating a wet commute. Farther east, clouds hover over Alabama, with Atlanta seeing building cloudiness that will lead to increased rain showers. Despite the active conditions elsewhere, coastal regions like Savannah and Charleston are enjoying a momentary reprieve with clearer skies. Jacksonville also sees improved conditions with diminishing showers, bringing a touch of sunshine.
Tomorrow morning in Miami starts with partly cloudy conditions and temperatures at 77 degrees at 7 AM. Temperatures rise slightly to 81 degrees by 9 AM under mostly cloudy skies, and reach 82 degrees at 11 AM with partly cloudy skies again.
High temperatures for tomorrow in the Southeast region are expected to soar, with some notable above-average readings. In Atlanta, we’ll see a high of 73 degrees, which is warm for this time of year. Montgomery follows closely with temperatures reaching 75 degrees. Jackson will be slightly cooler at 63 degrees, while New Orleans warms up to 77 degrees. In Florida, temperatures are on the rise, with Tampa expected to hit 90 degrees and Miami reaching 82 degrees. Jacksonville leads the pack with a high of 91 degrees, making it the warmest spot in the region.
A cold front is marching across the Southeast, bringing a line of strong thunderstorms that will hit New Orleans to Jacksonville Saturday evening. Expect brief, intense rain with a chance for severe thunderstorms, especially across Louisiana and Mississippi. Keep an eye out for possible weather warnings. The front continues its eastward journey, reaching Atlanta early Sunday morning. Look for a soaked start to the day with potential gusty winds and rain accumulations up to an inch.
Miami is set for a weekend of intense sunshine! On Saturday, expect a UV index of 9, with potential skin damage occurring in about 15 minutes if unprotected. As for Sunday, the UV index rises to a blistering 10, reducing burn times to just 12 minutes.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with temperatures reaching a high of 82°F and a low of 75°F. Monday: Mostly sunny skies, warming up to 84°F during the day, with lows of 75°F. Tuesday: Mostly clear with a high of 82°F and cooling down to 66°F at night. Wednesday: Scattered thunderstorms expected, with a high of 80°F and a low of 69°F.
