On the regional radar, a line of active weather is clearly visible. Powerful storms are pushing eastward across the Southeast. Mississippi is in the thick of it with heavy rain rolling through areas like Jackson and moving farther east toward Montgomery. Alabama is seeing vibrant clusters of thunderstorms, particularly impacting the area near Montgomery. In Florida, Jacksonville is experiencing dynamic weather with rain showers and possible thunderstorms, while Tampa sees more scattered activity. Up north, cities like Atlanta and Charlotte are gradually gearing up for approaching showers as the broader system presses eastward. Along the coastal stretches, Savannah enjoys a bit of calm between bursts of rainfall.
In Miami tomorrow morning, temperatures will rise from 75 degrees at 7 AM to 81 degrees by 11 AM. The skies will stay partly cloudy with a south-southeast wind at 4 miles per hour early, increasing to 10 miles per hour farther into the morning.
Tomorrow in the Southeast, we can expect some warm conditions as high temperatures climb above average for many areas. In Atlanta, the high reaches a comfortable 74 degrees, while Jacksonville sees temperatures peaking at a balmy 84 degrees. Over in Savannah, expect a high of 80 degrees, making for a pleasant day. New Orleans will enjoy a warm 80 degrees as well. Farther west, temperatures in Jackson are set for a high of 72 degrees, and Shreveport is not far behind with a high of 74 degrees. In contrast, Memphis will remain cooler with a high of only 61 degrees.
“On the futurecast for the Southeast, a dynamic weather system unfolds tomorrow. Strong thunderstorm activity is expected as a front advances across Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. The Storm Prediction Center highlights these areas for severe weather potential, with damaging winds and heavy rainfall. Rain will likely extend from New Orleans through Jackson, with torrential downpours possible. Conditions in Memphis and Shreveport will include scattered showers, while Atlanta and Charlotte prepare for stormy spells. Farther south, Jacksonville and Tampa will see continued rain showers. Remain vigilant for any weather warnings over the next 24 to 48 hours.”
Miami’s UV index today (Sunday) is high at 7, so remember to apply sunscreen and wear protective clothing, with sunburn possible in about 20 minutes. On Monday, the index jumps to a very high 10—expect sunburn in just 12 minutes.
