A dynamic weather system is capturing attention across the Southeast. Presently, an intense line of storms is stretching from Jacksonville northward through Savannah and into Charlotte. These storms are moving with gusto, bringing heavy rain and potential severe weather conditions to these areas. Meanwhile, the weather in Atlanta appears to be less active, with only light cloud cover expected. Montgomery and surrounding locales are mostly quiet, enjoying a brief reprieve from the heavier conditions to the southeast. As for Memphis and Jackson, skies remain clear, offering quite a contrast to the stormy scenes in other parts of the region. However, it’s important to stay alert for any changes, as weather patterns can shift rapidly.
For this evening in Miami, anticipate a warm and partly cloudy evening with temperatures starting at 78 degrees at 8 PM. The skies will become mostly cloudy as the evening progresses, with temperatures slightly cooling to 76 degrees by midnight. A steady breeze from the south at 10 miles per hour will persist throughout the evening.
Now for the low temperatures in the Southeast. Nashville will drop to a chilly 41 degrees. Expect even colder conditions in Charlotte, with a low of 36. Atlanta won’t fare much better, falling to 38 degrees, while Montgomery sees a low of 38 as well. Jackson is forecasted to cool down to 44 degrees. New Orleans will hold onto a relatively mild 50, but Shreveport will drop to 55. Florida’s cities are also feeling the chill; Tampa is expected to hit 49 degrees, with Jacksonville at a cooler 46. Miami rounds out at 54 degrees.
For the Southeast region tomorrow, expect warm temperatures as high pressure influences the area. In Atlanta, the forecast shows a high of 61 degrees, slightly above average for this time of year. Moving over to Memphis, we’re anticipating a cooler high of 68 degrees, which is below normal. Nashville will also see some cooler air, peaking at 61 degrees. In contrast, down south in New Orleans, temperatures are looking pleasant with a high of 72 degrees, while Jackson warms up to 70 degrees. Further west, Shreveport is set to reach a warm 80 degrees, and Houston will see a high of 81 degrees. On the eastern edge, savannah will have highs around 63 degrees, and Jacksonville is expected to register 65 degrees. Tampa will see temperatures at 65, while Miami should enjoy warm 77-degree highs. Overall, the region is set for a stretch of above-average temperatures.
“On the futurecast for the Southeast, scattered showers and thunderstorms are moving off the coast overnight. As high pressure builds in, expect a shift to drier conditions by late tomorrow. However, areas from Charlotte to Jacksonville could still experience lingering morning showers before the system clears. Temperatures will remain mild, with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Keep an eye on the coast for some breezy conditions as the weather settles tomorrow afternoon.”
“The UV index in Miami is extremely high at 9 for both Sunday and Monday, with a rapid burn time of just 15 minutes. Protective measures are essential! If storms roll in, as expected on Monday, UV exposure will decrease significantly. Always stay updated with local weather alerts!”
