The forecast begins with clear skies in Atlanta, with temperatures starting at a cozy 68°F, ideal for early risers. On the Regional Radar, a vibrant line of storms is advancing from west to east across the Southeast. This line of severe storms is currently impacting Shreveport and is pushing toward Jackson with intense rainfall and thunderstorm activity. The showers stretch farther northeast over Memphis, where thunderstorms are anticipated as the system progresses. The Southeast is experiencing a range of weather conditions with clear skies currently prevalent in Savannah and Charleston, offering a pleasant respite. Meanwhile, rain has started to advance over Georgia, heading toward the Carolinas as cloud cover thickens ahead of these storms. In Jacksonville and northern Florida, skies are clearing as showers diminish, setting the stage for an improvement in weather conditions.
Tomorrow morning in Atlanta begins with temperatures around 68 degrees at 7 AM, warming to 70 degrees by 9 AM. Expect a steady south-southwest breeze at 11 miles per hour early, increasing to 12 miles per hour as the morning progresses.
High temperatures for tomorrow across the Southeast region are projected to be notably above average, fueled by warm air moving in from the Gulf. In Atlanta, expect a high of 73 degrees, making for a warm day. Montgomery will see a comfortable 75 degrees, while Jackson, Mississippi, reaches 63. Shreveport is on the cooler side at 55 degrees. Looking to Florida, Jacksonville is set for a steamy high of 91 degrees, while Tampa and Miami will enjoy highs of 90 and 82 degrees, respectively. In New Orleans, temperatures will rise to 77 degrees.
A cold front will make its way across the Southeast tomorrow. Expect strong thunderstorms, particularly in regions from Houston to Memphis, with potential for severe weather as the front progresses. New Orleans to Jackson will experience heavy downpours and damaging winds during this passage. By late morning, storms will stretch from Montgomery to Charlotte, bringing heavier showers and gusty conditions. The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted parts of these areas in their Severe Weather Outlook, so remain vigilant for any potential warnings. Rainfall will provide temporary relief to drier conditions but could result in localized flooding.
The UV index in Atlanta will be high on Saturday with a value of 6, indicating a burn time of about 23 minutes in direct sunlight. On Sunday, the UV index drops to 3.

Wednesday: Clear skies and sunshine, warming up to 68 degrees during the day and down to 43 at night. Thursday: Mostly clear and getting warmer with a daytime high of 74 degrees and a low of 52.
