Good evening, Southeast! Amy Freeze here with everything you need to know about tonight’s stellar weather conditions in Atlanta and upcoming changes across the region. Atlanta’s clear skies tonight make it perfect for your outdoor plans. However, keep your weather alerts handy as the Gulf Coast and southern Texas face rain showers. A powerful cold front tomorrow will affect areas from Houston to Savannah with potential severe weather conditions. Stay tuned for every twist and turn in the forecast!
The Southeast region is largely calm, but we’re seeing some areas of interest on the radar. Rain showers are moving through the Gulf Coast, particularly affecting areas near New Orleans. Parts of southern Texas around Houston are also seeing some light precipitation. Meanwhile, the East Coast cities like Savannah and Jacksonville are mostly dry, with clear to partly cloudy skies, providing a pleasant start to the day. For now, most of the Southeast, including cities like Atlanta and Charlotte, remains dry, but keep an umbrella handy as conditions can quickly change.
For this evening in Atlanta, temperatures will begin at 64 degrees around 8 PM, gradually decreasing to 55 degrees by midnight. The evening sky will stay mostly clear, with a consistent gentle breeze from the south-southwest at 4 miles per hour throughout the night.
Now for the low temperatures in the Southeast. Overnight, we’ll see some cool air settling in. Memphis will dip to 41 degrees, while Nashville comes in slightly cooler at 39. Jackson is expected to reach a low of 44 degrees. Shreveport stays a bit warmer, with a low around 44 as well. In Alabama, Montgomery will cool down to 51 degrees. Atlanta is looking at a low of 54. Moving towards the coast, Savannah and Jacksonville will each see lows of 55 degrees. As we head further south, Tampa is set for a low of 59, while Miami will stay mild at 61 degrees. Expecting a pleasant but crisp start for many tomorrow morning!
High temperatures in the Southeast for tomorrow show a warm trend, with several cities experiencing above-average readings. In Atlanta, expect a high of 79 degrees, while Montgomery is set to reach a balmy 84 degrees. Jacksonville will also see warm temperatures at 81 degrees. Moving westward, New Orleans and Houston are looking at highs of 80 and 83 degrees, respectively, indicating a nice warm-up for both cities. Memphis will cool down slightly with a high of 77 degrees, but Jackson sticks close behind at 79 degrees. Overall, warm air is dominating the region, with minimal cloud cover expected, fostering these pleasant temperatures.

Sunday: Mostly clear and a bit warmer, with a high of 78 degrees and a low dipping to 53. Monday: Expect rain late in the day, with a high of 67 degrees and a low of 42. Tuesday: Partly cloudy skies as the temperature rises to 72 degrees during the day and falls to 43 at night.
