The Regional Radar illustrates a dynamic weather pattern across the Southeast. A band of rain is moving eastward from Shreveport toward Jackson, sustaining its strength as it progresses. Northeastern Louisiana is currently experiencing these showers, which are advancing towards Memphis. The Gulf Coast, including New Orleans and Houston, is under scattered rain showers. Clouds are thickening over Alabama and Georgia, foreshadowing incoming precipitation. Farther south, areas like Tampa and Miami are enjoying clear skies, maintaining dry and pleasant conditions for the moment.
For this evening in Atlanta, temperatures start at 71 degrees around 8 PM, dropping to 67 degrees by 10 PM, and down to 65 degrees by midnight. Expect mostly cloudy skies transitioning to clear conditions as the night progresses. Winds will be gentle, coming from the south-southeast at 4 to 5 miles per hour.
Tonight, the Southeast is settling into a cooler pattern. In Memphis, expect a low of 66 degrees. Nashville will drop to 65, while Jackson cools off to 67. New Orleans is looking at a comfortable 69 degrees. Over in Atlanta, expect a low of 62, and Montgomery will see temperatures around 65. Savannah will chill slightly to 64, with Jacksonville close behind at 67. Tampa remains mild at 69 degrees, but Miami will hold steady at 74—about 10 degrees warmer than most cities in the region.
High temperatures for tomorrow across the Southeast will be quite warm, emphasizing a significant warm-up trend. In Atlanta, expect a high of 78 degrees, reflecting a more mild spring day. Moving south, the temperature in Montgomery reaches 80 degrees, while Jackson will be slightly cooler at 73 degrees. Over in New Orleans, a pleasantly warm day is forecast with highs around 74 degrees. Farther to the east, Savannah is set to hit 76 degrees, and Jacksonville can anticipate temperatures rising to 79 degrees. Tampa stands out with a high of 87 degrees, making it one of the warmest spots in the region.
“A developing cold front brings active weather across the Southeast tomorrow. Expect scattered thunderstorms from Houston to New Orleans, intensifying by the afternoon. A line of heavy thunderstorms with possible severe weather, including damaging winds and isolated tornadoes, is forecast to move into Shreveport and Jackson by evening. The rain will shift farther east, reaching Montgomery by nightfall. Thunderstorm activity might affect areas from Tampa to Jacksonville overnight, with heavy rainfall leading to potential flooding concerns. Stay alert for updates from the Storm Prediction Center.”
