A line of severe storms is making its way from Shreveport, Louisiana, toward Jackson, Mississippi, with intense precipitation expected. Rain showers extend into the Deep South, impacting areas from Houston to New Orleans, where scattered rain is present. Clouds and rain are observed advancing from the west and will affect Montgomery and Atlanta as the system progresses. Memphis and Charlotte remain largely unaffected currently. Coastal cities such as Tampa and Miami are enjoying clear conditions at the moment.
For the evening in Atlanta, anticipate cloudy skies with temperatures easing from 69 degrees at 8 PM to 65 degrees by midnight. Winds remain light, coming from the east at 4 to 5 miles per hour as the night progresses.
Expect a low of 63 degrees in Nashville and 64 in Memphis. Jackson will cool down to 65 degrees, while Shreveport will see a low of 68. Montgomery will drop to 64 degrees, and Atlanta is forecasted to be around 62. Farther south, Miami will remain the warmest at 73 degrees, but that’s still a noticeable drop from the previous nights.
High temperatures for the Southeast region tomorrow will be notably warm, with many areas experiencing above-average readings. A cold front is expected to advance through the Southeast, bringing scattered thunderstorms from Houston to Jacksonville.
