As Miami enjoys consistent evening temperatures, broader regions like Jacksonville and New Orleans brace for dynamic changes. This forecast explores varied weather conditions, including unexpected temperature highs and regional storm threats, ensuring residents have the data needed to navigate the week ahead.
The Southeast regional radar shows a mix of weather patterns this morning. Houston and the Gulf Coast areas are experiencing heavy rain showers moving northeast toward New Orleans, where residents should be prepared for potential downpours. Farther east, light rain is spreading over the Florida Panhandle near Jacksonville, with additional showers developing out at sea. In the Carolinas, Charlotte is currently dry, but cloud cover is increasing, signaling possible rain later. For northern cities like Atlanta and Memphis, conditions remain mostly clear with no significant precipitation expected at this time.
For this evening in Miami, anticipate mostly cloudy skies with temperatures remaining steady between 84 degrees at 9 PM and 83 degrees by 1 AM. Winds will be coming from the east-southeast at 7 miles per hour.
Tonight expect 69 degrees in Shreveport and Jackson, while Memphis will cool down to 63. Montgomery is forecasted to settle at 68, and Atlanta will dip to 65. Further south, New Orleans will see a low of 75, and Tampa will remain warm at 77. Just for comparison, Miami will hold steady at 79 degrees, slightly cooler than recent nights.
By tomorrow afternoon, the Southeast will see a notable rise in temperatures, with many areas experiencing highs above average. Atlanta is expected to reach 76 degrees, while Charlotte warms up to 81. Farther south, Jacksonville will be quite warm at 90 degrees, and Tampa will hit a steamy 93 degrees. New Orleans and Jackson are both forecasted to see highs of 84 degrees, while Memphis is expected to reach 83. Houston will be slightly hotter at 89 degrees, adding to the warmth across the region.
A dynamic weather day is on the horizon for the Southeast as a cold front advances. Expect rain from Shreveport to New Orleans and into the Florida panhandle, bringing hefty downpours and the probability of thunderstorms. The storms could intensify Wednesday morning, posing a risk of severe weather from Jackson to Montgomery with the potential for heavy winds. As the front moves eastward, Jacksonville to Savannah should prepare for stormy conditions by afternoon. Following the front, slightly cool, dry air pushes in, leading to calm conditions by Thursday.
The UV index in Miami is extreme at 11 for both Wednesday and Thursday, with a burn time of about 11 minutes in direct sunlight.
