A line of severe storms is sweeping across the Gulf Coast, bringing heavy rain and intense winds from Corpus Christi to New Orleans. San Antonio is experiencing lighter rain, with the system gradually moving eastward toward Houston. Over in Louisiana, radar shows persistent heavy showers around Baton Rouge and progressing further into the Mississippi region. Most of the Southern Plains, including Oklahoma City and Dallas, are currently enjoying clear skies. Dry conditions prevail over the western regions, with Albuquerque remaining unscathed by the storm activity.
For this evening in Austin, expect sunny skies transitioning to mostly clear conditions. Temperatures will gradually drop from 78 degrees at 9 PM to 71 degrees by 1 AM. Northeast winds will calm from 4 miles per hour to calm conditions around midnight.
