For this evening in Austin, temperatures start warm at 93 degrees at 9 PM, gradually cooling to 80 degrees by 1 AM. The wind will be coming from the south-southeast at around 10 miles per hour throughout the night. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, providing a bit of respite from the heat. Tonight in the Southern Plains, temperatures are set to drop significantly as a cold front moves through. Oklahoma City will see a low of 61 degrees, while Dallas cools down to 74. Expect 66 degrees in Midland and slightly chillier at 63 in Little Rock. San Antonio will have a low of 76, and further south in Corpus Christi, temperatures will remain relatively mild at 78 degrees. However, the overnight chill will definitely be felt in areas like Albuquerque, dipping to 49 degrees. Tomorow San Antonio will soar to a sweltering 103 degrees, while Corpus Christi reaches 93. Midland is expected to see a high of 92 degrees, and Dallas will warm up to 90 degrees. Farther north, temperatures in Oklahoma City will hit 82 degrees, with Little Rock close behind at 87. This warm spell is influenced by a high-pressure system building over the region, bringing unseasonably warm weather across the Southern Plains. A cold front is making its way across the Southern Plains, bringing with it the potential for severe weather. Expect thunderstorms from Dallas to Oklahoma City, with the possibility of heavy rain and damaging winds. By Wednesday afternoon, showers could extend to areas like Corpus Christi and San Antonio. Temperatures will dip slightly following the front, leading to cooler conditions into Thursday.
