On the Regional Radar, a strong line of thunderstorms is sweeping through the coastal areas near Corpus Christi, bringing intense rain and possibly severe weather. Rain is advancing northeast from Corpus Christi toward Houston and ultimately southeastern Louisiana, including New Orleans. Scattered showers are present over the Texas Hill Country, extending toward San Antonio, while clouds are beginning to gather ahead of potential rain. Oklahoma City, Dallas, and northward toward Little Rock remain under overcast conditions without immediate precipitation. Albuquerque and El Paso enjoy clear skies free from rain or cloud cover.
Tomorrow morning in Austin, expect a cloudy start at 8 AM with temperatures around 67 degrees. By 10 AM, temperatures will rise to 71 degrees, and the sky will shift to mostly cloudy conditions. Heading into noon, temperatures will climb to 76 degrees with partly cloudy skies. Winds are expected to be calm early, transitioning to a gentle breeze at 3 mph by midday.
Highs for the Southern Plains tomorrow are looking warm and slightly above average for this time of year. El Paso will reach 81 degrees, while Midland hits a comfortable 74. San Antonio is expected to be the hottest, climbing to 87 degrees, and Corpus Christi will bask in 82 degrees. Further north, Dallas will see a high of 77 degrees, and Oklahoma City will reach 72.
A cold front across the Southern Plains will bring impactful weather to areas from Dallas to Jackson. Expect scattered thunderstorms, some severe, with potential for strong wind gusts and heavy rainfall, particularly in Oklahoma City. Rain accumulations are likely along a stretch from Corpus Christi to Dallas, providing drought relief. Cooler temperatures will follow behind the front, bringing a refreshing change to the region.
The UV index in Austin is expected to be very high at a level of 10 for both Wednesday and Thursday, with a burn time of approximately 12 minutes. It’s crucial to take precautions if you’re planning to spend time outdoors.

Saturday: Enjoy mostly clear conditions as temperatures reach 80 degrees during the day, dropping to 57 overnight. Sunday: Expect sunny skies with a high of 84 degrees and a low of 56. Monday: Things heat up, with clear skies and temperatures climbing to 90 degrees, cooling to 63 at night. Tuesday: The warmth continues under mostly clear skies with a high of 94 degrees and a low of 68.
