Across the Southern Plains, the regional radar remains mostly calm with a few noteworthy weather events. Over in the Texas Panhandle and into western Oklahoma, skies are clear, offering a reprieve from recent precipitation. In stark contrast, areas to the east, including Little Rock and Jackson, are experiencing steady rain, with a heavier band stretching towards New Orleans. The eastern part of this system is pushing toward the Mississippi-Alabama border, bringing wet conditions to regions south of Memphis. Meanwhile, the northern reaches near Kansas City remain mostly dry. The absence of severe weather offers a quieter day for much of the interior plains, allowing for calm conditions to prevail.

“Expect an active weather pattern across the Southern Plains tomorrow. A line of storms is anticipated to sweep across Oklahoma City and extend into Dallas, where severe weather warnings could be issued. This system includes the potential for heavy downpours and damaging winds. Areas from San Antonio to Corpus Christi will experience rain showers, providing welcomed moisture. However, keep an eye on the cold front advancing from the northwest, as it could trigger strong thunderstorms, especially moving into Little Rock. Anticipate cooler but clearer conditions following the frontal passage.”
