Across the Southern Plains, the regional radar reveals a dynamic scene with a line of storms stretching from northwestern Texas into Oklahoma, moving towards the east. Dallas is experiencing some isolated thunderstorms, which are drifting eastward into Shreveport. Farther north, rain showers are crossing into Arkansas, affecting areas like Little Rock. In Missouri, Kansas City is facing cloudy conditions with light rain showers. Albuquerque and El Paso maintain clear skies, providing a break from the rain. Meanwhile, the Gulf Coast, including New Orleans and Corpus Christi, stays dry with mild conditions.
For the afternoon in Austin, temperatures will stay in the low 80s, starting at 83 degrees by 3 PM, and slightly decreasing to 82 degrees by 7 PM. Expect partly cloudy skies transitioning to mostly sunny later in the afternoon. Winds are light, coming from the south-southwest at 4 miles per hour initially, shifting to a gentle south-southeast breeze by 5 PM.

We’re seeing warm temperatures across the region. Dallas is leading the pack with a high of 87 degrees, making for a very warm day. Down in San Antonio and Midland, temperatures are pretty close behind at 84 degrees. El Paso will experience a high of 80 degrees.
In contrast, Oklahoma City is feeling a bit cooler, with afternoon highs around 61 degrees. Little Rock is slightly warmer at 81 degrees.
Now for the low temperatures in the Southern Plains. Expect chilly conditions tonight as a cold front sweeps through the region. Dallas will see a low of 52 degrees, while Oklahoma City drops to 42. Fort Worth isn’t far behind at 45 degrees. In the west, Midland will cool down to 60, and El Paso is expected to reach 56 degrees. San Antonio will sit at a warmer 62, but still notably cooler than previous nights.
High temperatures for tomorrow in the Southern Plains are shaping up to be quite warm, with many cities experiencing above-average readings.
In El Paso, look for a pleasant high of 81 degrees. Midland is expected to warm up to a significant 79 degrees. San Antonio will heat things up with a high of 86 degrees, making it the hottest spot in Texas. Corpus Christi isn’t far behind, with afternoon highs reaching 83 degrees. In contrast, Dallas will see a more mild day, with temperatures topping out at 71 degrees. Oklahoma City is forecasted to reach 63 degrees, while Little Rock expects a high of 70.
