In the Southern Plains region today, the weather is fairly stable with only a few areas of concern. Oklahoma City is seeing clear skies, providing a break from previous weather activity. Meanwhile, a band of rain showers is creeping through the Oklahoma Panhandle, melding into some scattered rain further south towards Midland.
Over in New Orleans, conditions are more active with a developing system bringing rain showers to the area, while Jackson remains partly cloudy with more mild weather. Farther west, the dry regions of Albuquerque and El Paso continue to enjoy clear skies. San Antonio and Corpus Christi are also experiencing clear conditions, allowing for sunshine throughout the day. Farther north, Little Rock is mostly clear with precipitation staying well to the east. Kansas City has a mix with no significant weather disturbances as of now.
For this evening in Austin, clear skies persist with temperatures gradually cooling from 84 degrees at 9 PM to 72 degrees by 1 AM. Winds are shifting from the east-northeast at 6 miles per hour to northeast at 3 miles per hour. It’s a calm and pleasant night ahead.
