This winter storm is bringing strong winds, potentially gusting up to 75 miles per hour in mountain passes. In the Oklahoma Panhandle, a few scattered rain showers are meandering through the area. Meanwhile, farther southeast in the lower Mississippi Delta, rain is starting to organize as a storm system begins to develop.
For this evening in Austin, anticipate partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will start at 84 degrees at 8 PM, dropping to 78 degrees by 10 PM, and settling into a mild 73 degrees around midnight. A steady southeast wind at 5 miles per hour will persist, maintaining a calm and pleasant evening atmosphere.
Tonight in the Southern Plains, we are expecting cool temperatures. In Oklahoma City, a low of 52 degrees will greet you in the morning.
