A significant storm system is showcasing its strength from northeast Texas through Arkansas, with Little Rock experiencing intense rainfall moving northeastward. This extends further to Memphis, with heavy precipitation expected. In Oklahoma City, storms are subsiding, giving way to more settled conditions as the system tracks eastward. Kansas City, while clear now, should prepare for precipitation later. As we move farther south, Dallas is under a blanket of showers, which are gradually moving away, offering some respite. Back in New Mexico, Albuquerque is seeing light snow accumulation, while El Paso enjoys drier, clearer skies. San Antonio and Corpus Christi are currently experiencing cloudy but dry conditions. Meanwhile, Midland remains dry, providing a break from the more active weather in the region.
This afternoon in Austin, temperatures start at 63 degrees around 3 PM with a northerly breeze at 10 miles per hour. Expect mostly cloudy conditions as temperatures dip to 61 degrees by 5 PM with winds shifting to north-northwest at 12 miles per hour. By 7 PM, partly sunny skies appear with temperatures moving a bit lower to 55 degrees and winds remaining steady from the north-northwest at 13 miles per hour.
