Across the Southern Plains, the regional radar shows an interesting mix of weather activity. A swath of rain is spreading across Dallas, moving southeast towards New Orleans, bringing some much-needed relief and hydration to the areas along its path. Farther north, Oklahoma City is experiencing dry conditions, while Little Rock and El Paso remain clear. Meanwhile, snow is falling in the higher elevations near Albuquerque, with some snowy conditions stretching toward the southern Colorado border, driven by a vigorous winter system. In contrast, Midland and San Antonio are enjoying clear skies, with no precipitation in sight. As for Corpus Christi, the coast basks in dry weather, offering a pleasant break under mostly sunny conditions.
The forecast for tomorrow morning in Austin starts off with a temperature of 64 degrees at 7 a.m., with a southeast wind around 4 miles per hour and rain. By 9 a.m., expect similar conditions as temperatures remain at 64 degrees with southeast winds at 4 miles per hour and continued rain. High temperatures for the Southern Plains tomorrow will showcase quite a warm outlook, with several areas experiencing above-average readings. In El Paso, we’re looking at a high of 86 degrees, while Midland is set to soar to 85 degrees, making it one of the warmest spots in the region. Dallas will be slightly cooler at 69 degrees, but overall, much of the region will be enjoying milder conditions. Oklahoma City is expected to hit 72 degrees, with Little Rock reaching 75. This warmer weather is a result of a strong ridge of high pressure building over the area, leading to the pleasant temperatures across the Southern Plains.
“On the futurecast for the Southern Plains, anticipate a dynamic weather shift as rain showers spread from Dallas to Corpus Christi, benefiting areas with some moisture. Oklahoma City should prepare for stronger storms, fueled by an unstable air mass and an advancing cold front. Be vigilant for severe weather warnings into Friday, especially across the southeastern sections.”
“The UV index in Austin will be at moderate levels, with values reaching 5 on Thursday and 4 on Friday. Expect some cloud cover and potential rain to diminish direct sun exposure, elongating burn times to 27 minutes on Thursday and 35 minutes on Friday.”
