The Southwest is witnessing a mix of clear conditions and isolated precipitation. Salt Lake City has active mixed precipitation. Cedar City may encounter overcast skies with nearby rain. The skies over Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Southern California, including Los Angeles and San Diego, show mostly dry conditions. Light rain is potentially developing near the northern California coast, around Redding.
For the afternoon in Phoenix, expect mostly sunny skies with temperatures rising from 85 degrees at 3 PM to 89 degrees by 7 PM. Winds will be light, shifting from southwest at 4 mph to west at 5 mph.
Today’s high temperatures in the Southwest are quite the mix! Phoenix is heating up with a high of 91 degrees, while Las Vegas isn’t far behind at 87 degrees. In contrast, Flagstaff will see a cooler day with a high of only 66. Over in Southern California, Bakersfield reaches 79 degrees, but coastal areas like San Diego and Los Angeles hover lower at 65.
Tonight Flagstaff dips to a chilly 35 degrees. Las Vegas will see a low of 62, while Phoenix remains mild at 65. Further north, Ely is expected to come in quite cold at 36 degrees. Bakersfield will not be far off, with a low of 51, and San Francisco won’t be much warmer at 50.
