In the Southwest region, the radar shows clear conditions along much of the California coastline, from San Diego up to San Francisco, providing a pleasant day for outdoor plans. Light rain showers are moving through northwestern Nevada, particularly between Reno and Ely, indicating a need for some rain gear for those areas. Further east, in Cedar City, Utah, isolated thunderstorms are present, so it’s a good idea to stay weather-aware if you’re in that vicinity. Snowfall is visible around the higher elevations near Flagstaff, Las Vegas and southern California remain dry and sunny.
Salt Lake City will enjoy a sunny afternoon with temperatures rising to 66 degrees by 5 PM. Winds are expected to come from the northwest at around 10 miles per hour, providing a pleasant breeze. By 7 PM, temperatures will gently drop to 65 degrees as the winds ease slightly to 9 miles per hour.

Southern California, particularly around the San Bernardino Valley, might experience light showers early Tuesday, affecting morning commutes. In the higher elevations, there’s a slight chance for wintry mix or snow, creating slick travel conditions by nightfall. Be on the lookout for any updated advisories or warnings as the system progresses.
The UV index in Salt Lake City will be high on Tuesday with a level of 7, indicating a burn time of approximately 20 minutes in direct sunlight. By Wednesday, the index drops to 3, with a significantly reduced risk due to cloud coverage and potential rain, extending the burn time to 45 minutes.
