The radar image reveals a dynamic weather scene across the Southwest. In Northern California, rain is advancing from the Pacific, bringing much needed moisture to Redding and extending down through San Francisco and Fresno. This rain is a welcome relief for parched areas. Snowfall is occurring in the higher elevations of the Sierra Nevada, particularly around Reno, where winter conditions prevail. Moving down the coast, light rain showers are impacting Los Angeles and the surrounding areas, while San Diego remains mostly dry. Farther east, clear skies are prevailing over Las Vegas where the sun dominates the day. However, conditions are unsettled around Salt Lake City and Cedar City, with possible light snow or rain mix presenting challenges for travelers. Flagstaff is in for a chill, but remains clear.
Phoenix weather for tomorrow morning starts off mostly clear at 7 AM with temperatures around 53 degrees. As the morning progresses, expect temperatures to edge up to 52 degrees by 9 AM with conditions turning partly cloudy. A gentle south-southwest wind at 6 miles per hour keeps the air crisp. By 11 AM, the sky remains partly cloudy with temperatures reaching 57 degrees, accompanied by a light breeze from the southwest at 9 miles per hour.
Here’s the regional high temperature rundown for the Southwest this Tuesday: In southern California, San Diego will enjoy a mild day with a high of 60 degrees. Los Angeles is slightly warmer at 64 degrees. Bakersfield also sees a pleasant high of 61 degrees. Up north, San Francisco is predicted to reach 59. As we move inland, temperatures start to climb. Fresno will hit 61 degrees, while Las Vegas is looking at a warmer high of 57 degrees. Farther north, Ely will remain chilly with a high around 37 degrees.
For the Southwest tomorrow, anticipate a sunny and dry pattern dominating the desert areas. However, Northern California can expect multiple rounds of rain in the valleys as moisture rolls in. Southern California, particularly the San Bernardino Valley, will continue to experience showers with periods of heavy rainfall. This will lead to challenging driving conditions and slick roads, especially over the mountain passes.
The UV index in Phoenix will be high at 8 on Tuesday, with a burn time of about 17 minutes in direct sunlight. Make sure to wear sunscreen and seek shade when necessary! On Wednesday, the UV index decreases to 6.
