In the Southwest region, the radar highlights diverse weather activities across various locations. The stormy action is particularly evident in the eastern part of Nevada and south into Arizona. Cedar City in Utah is seeing some strong storm activity, lending intensity to the region. Moving into Arizona, Flagstaff is under a blanket of snow, with snow showers adding to the chill in the air, while Phoenix enjoys clearer conditions. The weather is clear farther west along the California coastline, with San Francisco, Fresno, and the areas down to Los Angeles basking under a canopy of calm skies and mild conditions. San Diego, too, enjoys a respite from precipitation.
Evening hours in Phoenix feature partly cloudy conditions with temperatures starting at 80 degrees at 8 PM, dropping to 72 degrees by midnight. Winds are from the west-southwest at 11 miles per hour at 8 PM, decreasing to 5 miles per hour by midnight.
Tonight, the Southwest is settling into a chilly night as cold air continues to push through the region. Flagstaff dips to 29. Cedar City is expected to reach 31 degrees, while Las Vegas will cool down to 54 degrees. Further west, Los Angeles will have a mild night at 51 degrees. Expect San Diego to be slightly warmer at 53, while San Francisco will dip to 48. Bakersfield rounds out the lows with a comfortable 51.
High temperatures for the Southwest tomorrow are looking quite warm. In Las Vegas, expect a high of 76 degrees, which is right around average for this time of year. Phoenix will see a hot day ahead, reaching a high of 82 degrees—above the typical readings. Over in Los Angeles, the high temperature is set to hit 65 degrees, while San Diego will be slightly cooler at 63 degrees. Moving inland, Fresno should warm up to 68 degrees.
“On the Southwest futurecast for tomorrow, a notable weather shift is expected. Northern California will experience several rounds of valley rain extending into southern Oregon. The San Bernardino Valley will see another dose of showers, with heavy rain potentially impacting driving conditions over mountain passes. Expect partly cloudy skies in the desert areas, as precipitation starts moving farther inland. ”
The UV index in Phoenix will be a strong 8 on Friday, with a quick burn time of just 17 minutes in direct sunlight. On Saturday, it remains high at 6, with a burn time of about 23 minutes.
For the Phoenix 7 Day Outlook: Friday: Expect partly cloudy skies with a high of 84 degrees and a low of 60. Saturday: Look for more partly cloudy conditions, with temperatures reaching a high of 82 degrees and a low of 59. Sunday: Clear skies dominate, with a warm high of 83 degrees and a low of 59. Monday: Partly cloudy and slightly warmer, with temperatures climbing to 85 degrees and a low of 63. Tuesday: Expect cloudy skies with temperatures peaking at 79 degrees and dipping to a cool 55 at night. Wednesday: Partly cloudy with a high of 74 degrees and a low of 54.
