Across the Southwest, the regional radar reveals a captivating weather pattern for today. It’s a blue bird day for the Sierra Nevada are under clear condition. In Northern Nevada high country, light snow is gently falling, creating a wintry landscape. Winter is trying to hold on in some areas! Salt Lake City is experiencing a blend of snow and rain, which may cause some slippery conditions on roadways but no snow accumulation in the valley.
The dry weather continues as we move south into California, with San Francisco and Fresno enjoying calm and mild conditions under clear skies. This dryness extends to Los Angeles and San Diego, where a brisk breeze might be felt but not much else weather-wise.
Flagstaff may see an occasional cloud passing by, while Las Vegas will bask in dry and warm conditions, ideal for outdoor activities.
This afternoon in Phoenix, expect sunny skies with temperatures rising from 78 degrees at 3 PM to 80 degrees by 7 PM. Winds will be consistent from the west-southwest, starting at 9 miles per hour and increasing slightly to 12 miles per hour.

In Las Vegas, we’re heating up to a warm 76 degrees, while Phoenix is feeling much hotter at 82 degrees. Heading west, Los Angeles hits a comfortable 65, and San Diego reaches 63. Looking inland, Fresno sees a pleasant high of 67 degrees, and Bakersfield shares that same temperature. Flagstaff also remains cool with a high of just 56 degrees.
Tonight in the Southwest, temperatures are dropping significantly. Flagstaff, Arizona, is also expecting a brisk night at 33. In Las Vegas, anticipate a low of 55, while Cedar City, Utah, will be cooler at 39 degrees. Los Angeles will see a mild night at 54 degrees, and San Diego will experience a low of 56.
High temperatures in the Southwest for tomorrow are shaping up to be quite warm. In Las Vegas, expect a high of 78 degrees, well above the average for this time of year. Farther west, Los Angeles will reach a comfortable 62 degrees, while San Diego is looking at a high of 65 degrees.
Move inland to Fresno, where temperatures will climb to 67 degrees. In Bakersfield, it’s a bit warmer with a high of 72 degrees.
The futurecast indicates active weather for the Southwest. Expect increasing clouds on Sunday as a system approaches the coast. By midday, rain starts over southern California, with heavy downpours impacting morning travel, particularly around Los Angeles and San Diego. For the southern mountains, snowfall expected at higher elevations, creating potentially hazardous driving conditions. Farther inland, the Mojave Desert remains dry and mild with temperatures near 75 degrees.
